AUCTION LOCATION: Dane G. Hansen Plaza, 110 W. Main, Logan, KS


The Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of Section Twenty Six (26), Township Four (4) South, Range Twenty One (21) West of the Sixth PM in Norton County, Kansas being 157.3 acres more or less.

LAND LOCATION: On HWY 9; from Logan, KS 5 miles west to road E. 12, North approximately ¾ mile or from the Densmore HWY 9 junction 4 miles East to road E. 12, North approximately ¾ mile to the southwest Corner of the Property. 


FSA INFORMATION: This farm has a total of 157.75 acres with approximately 125.35 acres of cultivation and 32.4 acres of unfenced grassland. It carries a 68.38 acre wheat base W/45 bu yield and 34.22 acre grain sorghum base with a 51 bu. yield.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The cropland is primarily class II and IV and can be very productive with the use of modern farming practices.  The cropland has excellent terraces and all tillable acres are currently idle.       

MINERALS:  Sellers shall convey 100% of the seller’s minerals to the purchaser.  All minerals are believed to be intact.

POSSESSION: Immediate upon closing on all acres. 

TAXES:  Sellers shall pay all the 2016 taxes and prior years taxes, if any.  The 2017 and subsequent years taxes shall be the responsibility of the buyer.  The 2016 taxes were $1,217.12.


Ten Percent (10%) down day of the sale; balance due upon closing.  Owner’s policy and closing expense will be shared 50/50 between the buyer and sellers.  Mortgage policy, if required will be the expense of the buyer.  Closing shall be on or before May 17, 2017.  This auction sale is not contingent upon the purchaser’s ability to finance the purchase.  Buyers must make finance arrangements, if needed, prior to the auction.
